Heinrich is the Head of IT Governance & Cyber Security at Youi Insurance. He was previously the Director of Cyber Strategy and Architecture at Deloitte Australia and has worked in the cyber security for the past 14 years. When he’s not working to defend against cyber threates, he spends time tinkering with tech gadgets or relaxing with his partner and two kids.

“CyberSecurity – Career Pathway”
Shazin is a Cybersecurity leader and mentor with a demonstrated history of working in the Financial, Government and Insurance industry. Skilled in ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, GRC & Cyber Threat Intelligence. Shazin holds a Bachelor’s in Communication and IT (major in Computer Science) from Edith Cowan University, Master’s Degree in ERP Systems (SAP) from Victoria University and Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity (Intelligence) & Counter-Terrorism from Macquarie University.
She actively mentors’ new graduates from UNSW and Macquarie University focusing on the culture of engagement and entrance into the cybersecurity/counter-terrorism intelligence field. She is highly passionate about delivering exceptional security outcomes for business and mentoring young women in security, sharing her knowledge, and learning opportunities.
Shazin has an active presence in Australia and globally, assisting and mentoring graduates who currently work in GRC and threat intelligence roles and acted as an advisory to various government departments. In the past 2 years, Shazin has played a major role in the strong shift in awareness and acceptance of cyber resilience, compliance, and prevention in Kenya.
Shazin actively participates in conferences and seminars as a presenter, providing views on the latest security trends and cultural shifts within the cybersecurity industry. Some of the conferences she recently presented at are Cyberspeak– Africa, Techfriday events, CMS solutions event -“Third-party security assessments”, Women of Security – “focus on culture shift to recruit and retain women in security”. She also had a presence in the CyberTech conference held in Toronto, Canada May 2019 and Cloudsec conference held in Melbourne August 2019.
Shazin as an education champion is involved in building schools in East Africa, providing guidance to the education options for young females who have limited growth/ learning options.
