Richard White, Founder and CEO & Tanzeem Syeda, Software Engineer
'Making a difference: how a career in tech will take you places'
Richard founded WiseTech Global in 1994 and has been CEO and an Executive Director since then. He has over 30 years of experience in software development, embedded systems and business management, and over 20 years of freight/logistics industry experience.
Prior to founding WiseTech Global, Richard was founder and managing director of Real Tech Systems Integration (provider of computer consulting and systems integrations services) and founder and CEO of Clear Group (distributor of computer related equipment).
Richard holds a Master of Business in Information Technology Management from the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). He is a UTS Luminary and a Fellow of UTS.
Tanzeem Syeda is a Software Engineer at WiseTech Global and a 4th Year Software Engineering (Honours) Co Op Scholar at UTS. Tanzeem completed her first Internship at the age of 15 and over the last 7 years, has worked in 6 different companies. She has been at WiseTech Global for 2 years and her favourite part of the job is being able to inspire young people to join in the technology industry.

Geoff squeezes every minute out of his day with a career in IT & continuing his passion for technology into the evenings & weekends. Driven by doing what others say he can’t, Geoff is breaking the mould, pushing stereotypes & making the most of today – because it cannot be repeated. Working as the Digital Transformation Manager for a global medical organisation, he also uses his spare time to talk about his passion for technology across TV, radio, in newspapers, online & in his podcast “Technology Uncorked”. As a relatively poor student, he has worked hard to make the most of every opportunity, getting his hands dirty & volunteering to help others. Geoff loves to help solve tech problems for others to ensure they get the most out of what amazing tools we have available today.
Adara & Matthew, Westpac

Adara is a security awareness and education manager, with an extensive background in digital technologies at Westpac. Adara is interested in the human element of security, promoting, and shaping a proactive cyber security culture, and influencing cyber safety behaviours. She is passionate about helping Westpac customers and employees stay safe from scams, fraud, and cyber-attacks. As well as influencing positive changes in online behaviours and digital culture both at work and at home, ultimately helping to solve human problems.”
Matt is a Robotics & Automation Developer at Westpac having joined through the Group Technology Graduate Program in 2019. During his time in Robotics, he has automated processes for COVID relief packages, mortgage applications, legal compliance, call centre voice recording analysis, and pizza delivery - yes you heard me right! Through the use of intelligent automation tools, Matt will show you the power of harnessing cutting-edge technology to drive better outcomes for Westpac's customers. He might even show you how to automate your homework!
